Fueled By Ramen week!
July 21, 2009
This week at Vertical Merch we are printing a ton of shirts for Fueled by Ramen artists. The label which was founded in Gainesville, moved to Tampa, and eventually opened a second office in Manhattan has been kicking out awesome jams since 1998. With releases from the likes of Jimmy Eat World, Fall Out Boy and Phantom Planet under their belt the label has a new group of excellent established and up-and-coming artists that are releasing records and touring the world.
First on our agenda this week has been their most recent signing The Swellers. This group of young men from Michigan have been playing melodic punk since as far back as 2002. We are in the process of printing a couple of really awesome designs for them. One is a simple retro looking one color design and the other one has a color gradient. Check out the mockups:

Secondly, we printed a shirt for Cobra Starship whose new album “Hot Mess” is being released on August 11th. These guys (and one gal) gained notoriety after releasing their first album and having their song “Bring It (Snakes on a Plane)” featured in the closing credits of the movie Snakes on a Plane. They’re about to embark on a three week tour in support of their new record, so go check them out if you like new wave infused pop punk. Check out the shirt below:

Lastly, we got a reorder for another FBR band called VersaEmerge. This Florida band is currently on Warped Tour and released a self-titled EP this year. Here is the design we printed:
